Body Positivity

𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓 𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐄 𝐌𝐘 𝐁𝐎𝐃𝐘!⁣ It’s time for IG to stop censoring FAT bodies. Our bodies aren't as shareable. Our posts don't get the same reach. We're silenced and erased because our bodies aren't as palatable as our thin counterparts. We live in fear of losing our accounts for the same images that are deemed acceptable for those in smaller frames. Queer folx and BIPOC are policed at an even higher rate! Instagram erases marginalized and progressive people from posting and having profiles, continuing the silencing and often phasing us out all together.⁣ We have to ask those who believe that this is to “protect” the community: who or what are you trying to protect by eliminating marginalized people and progressives from view?⁣ We look forward to the day when we can all share without fear.⁣ ⁣ To hear the stories of 50+ PEOPLE involved in this project & further resources: @kaylaloganblog⁣ Respect + thanks to all the advocates who have been speaking on these issues for years, including: unskinnyshero @lilith.fury @curvynyome @katanafatale @shooglet @stephanieyeboah @griminator @themisfitsofbig @salty.world⁣ @ashleighchubbybunny @venuscuffs iamjarijones @luhshawnay & others who’ve paved the way .⁣ ⁣ Organized by: @kaylaloganblog / Inspired by: @laraonfire / Caption written by: @couvertier_louis + @newinheritor⁣ ⁣ Share your experiences using the # #𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐌𝐲𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲⁣ ⁣ This project’s participants:⁣ @aemilyharris @prairie.queer @caterinamoda @clarissatalks @couvertier_louis @heregoesgabbi @jessswest @jezra_m @katesies @kiabillinger @kristenplus @laraonfire @lilith.fury @monalisa.stephen @lyeleyeilers @_bopo_mama_ @msgigggles @bopopeaches @curvesandacarryon @sumajanedark @newinheritors @binge.to.bopo @trinichinlee @bijanross @chubbystruggles @janeemoonlight @jesinspace @mrmrandmama @meg.Boggs @suggamonkey @sherryivy_ @veronicabellemodel @manifolddev @The.SarahTaylor @itskelseypearle @tanzania_akiaa @kalaenouveau @nicole__moses @manfoldmare @mariagardner_uk @cocktailswithantoinette @lelestyleme @suggamonkey⁣ @funkchunkyy @jordallenhall @psitsfashion @curlycurvyclub @hannahgodown @prairie.queer @amariep123 @laureldickmanwrites

#MentalHealth is SO important! We neglect it too often for a lot of different stressful reasons. For #WorldMentalHealthDay I would like you to take a few minutes today to be with yourself, remind yourself how #beautiful, #talented and #strong you are. You can change your life tomorrow after waking up if you’d like. #Takecare of yourself first and your #mentalhealth. Your mind is your weapon against a world full of #toxicpeople. #CrazyIsTheNewSexy and #Authenticity is the new little black dress we should all have in the closet. And YES it is PHYSICAL too! People put pressure on us saying if we are big we don’t deal with our issues. This makes me so #angry. At the contrary, working on my mental health exhaust my body sometimes! Back pain,#headaches, joint pain and more. My body and mind are 1. But because we don’t see your mind people don’t count it. Have you seen #God? Probably not, but you still believe in it! 💟 Also, your past made you who you are. You need to know the pain to learn how to heal and to feel grateful and happy for what you’ve got in exchange for this pain. #LoveYourself a little more today, listen less to what people say about you and relax, breath, it’s gonna be ok. Cela me met tellement en colère. Au contraire, travailler sur ma santé mentale épuise mon corps parfois! Suite en commentaires…
